I agree totally. I've been using Winrad 1.32 and WinradHD with my SDR-IQ
and they both work very very well.

I believe Alberto's new SDR program will support the SDR-IQ and if it's
better than Winrad, it's going to be great!

Also check out Simon's (HB9DRV and creator of Ham Radio Deluxe) new web site
www.sdr-radio.com. The good news is that he's working on a SDR console that
will be both standalone and fully integrated with HRD. Even better news..
he's starting off with support for the SoftRock and SDR-IQ/SDR-14 receivers
and could be ready for beta-testing in a month. Visit the site and check out
the screenshots that he's posting in the forum as development proceeds.

It looks like exciting times are in store for SDR-IQ owners!

Subject: [soft_radio] Wish List for SDR software

I currently have a SDR-IQ and have greatly enjoyed using WinRad 1.4.2 and
more recently WinRad HD.

Some thoughts for a new program:

1) Compatible with SDR-IQ - of course!

2) Polyphase FFT - like Rocky.

3) 1 Hz display resolution - like WinRad HD. Or better still to 0.1Hz if
possible. This would make it usable for frequency measurement contests.

4)Frequency adjustment and compensation with phase display like Sigmira.

Although Rocky does not work with SDR-IQ, I think it is worth looking at not
only for the excellent waterfall display (polyphase FFT?) but also for some
of the GUI features like the click and drag tuning method.
