BBS: My UHFSDR board uses a Si570 and a divide be 2 circuit. It provides a receiver and low power exciter from 1.75 MHz to 1/2 the max frequency of the Si570. For a class A device, that would be 700 MHz. Information is on my "For_Sale" web page. Art, KY1K, will soon be offering a full parts kit(except the Si570 which is available as free samples from the SiLabs site). If you want to get your own parts, the pcb's are available from me.
