Hi, About two years I use vdr+DirectFb+softdevice on VIA Epia ME6000. All works excellently - the video very smooth, problems with interlaced video are not present. My TV is connected with vdr box through s-video cable. It would be desirable only two things - smooth playback mpeg4 video and connect the TV through a component (YPbPr) input. For this purpose I have gained recently system board VIA Epia EN1500G (CN700 North Bridge) and have started to build vdr on HOWTO from vdrportal.de - (http://www.vdrportal.de/board/thread.php? threadid=59950&hilight=cn700). Basically all works, but the result has turned out worse, than at use ME6000. I could get correct operation OSD only with versions DirectFB-1.0.0 and less. With the last DirectFB (1.2.0-1.3.0) I gain strange effect which depends on pressing of buttons the keyboard: 1. Start vdr (OSD ok) 2. Press DOWN (OSD not ok) 3. Press DOWN (OSD ok) 4. Press UP (OSD not ok) 5. Press UP (OSD ok) 6. Press something (OSD not ok) 7. Press something (OSD ok) 8. ... 9. ... When OSD not ok, it looks as though horizontal synchronisation not correctly works, thus video overlay works correctly. On video I see movement artefacts, jitter and small jerks on the scrolling text. CPU is loaded on 50-55 % at live video or record playback. The problem with OSD - regression DirectFB or is required modification softdevice? Whether it is possible to improve quality of video?
