I too use a kernel 2.6.25-gentoo-r7 and via's driver
Linux-FBDev-kernel-src_2.6.00.03a. You need to install kernel modules
cfb_copyarea, cfb_imageblit, cfb_fillrect. It can be made if to build fb
driver for another video card, for example savage or i810.
I have installed manually DirectFB-1.2.3 and DFB ++. git from
directfb.org. For DFB ++ need a patch:
