We do not run linux, but we have customized RR pre-and-post-render quite a bit. We are able to have RR automatically reconnect to different workgroups that contain different releases of third party renderers associated with a project per render job. And Holger has always been responsive to our questions. We've been using RR for many years now. I can not say enough good things about it.
