I call it poor management / business strategy. Case in point. A new feature came in Softimage 2011 which is very important for us in games development - symmetry tools support tessellation of geometry. As in, when you symmetrize or duplicate with symmetry, the internal edges (triangulation) needs to be aligned in symmetry like everything else. Any game developer that has modeled for games will tell you that's an important feature. I was told by Softimage that they didn't realize this was an important feature.

Well good news, we deleted all the requests logged before 2009, so you don't have to worry about them.
