Over the last months, I've done some research what's the best way to store our assets in an library with a version control. I've tried an self programmed custom python solution, Tactic and Perforce. Everything works somehow, but it's all not as nice as I wish. Knows someone of you guys a good solution to handle all types of assets (abc, obj, fbx, emdl, ass, psd, tif, sgi, exr, hdr...) with a version control? We don't need it in combination with an job- user- taskmanagment, but just as an server+database where we could upload our files and drag-and-drop our assets to softimage. Any advices?
