I just wanted to start a separate thread for this idea. Kickstarter is nice, but honestly for something like that you should look into either
http://fundanything.com or http://indiegogo.com Both of those let you keep the funds regardless of how much you get, so if you don't get the goal, it still can be used. I'd absolutely be willing to kick in some $$$ to make it happen. -Paul
