Subscription wise, what is actually more expensive: 500 EUR for little to non updates 5000 EUR for fast progress and daily builds?
I know a bit too much but just something to think about. Honestly bug fixes shouldn't be paid for but integral part of the price you pay so even if you buy software once and there are bugs, they are fixed and delivered no questions asked. But charging for bug fixes is like making home half done, no roof no plumbing etc and then charging each separately. Meaning subscription OK but if each new version gives nice progress and updates and not bug fixes + couple addons implemented which price is btw couple times lower then subscription cost. Also on the side, how much does mental ray licence is affecting price of software now? With a lot mroe users using 3rd party render engines wouldn't it be time to think about completely removing implemented renderer and leave only place for good integration with 3rd party ones?
