The Foundry has an interest in Softimage users. Along with SideFX Its doing pretty well on converting them away from Autodesk.
Its been repeated many times that Softimage will not be put up for sale. It makes no business sense for them to put their best out the box DCC in someone else’s hands. Softimage is much safer for Autodesk on the shelf. Uhm. Guys I´ve recently come across a little comment on some other forum (post dated on March) where they mention The Foundry "could" have interest on acquiring XSI from Autodesk. Is this rumor "founded" or is it just a rumor?
