@Tim: Modo was always high on my radar. It took so long to really start porting stuff to Modo due to lack of time and also because Modo did not have the necessary feature set yet (e.g. the particle system).

@Paulo: Modo has really evolved in the past two years and porting stuff like emPolygonizer and emFlock is now possible, at least I believe so. Note that there are also plans to port plugins to other packages, namely Fabric Engine, Maya and Houdini, possibly Cinema 4D, too.
