Have you tried the curve constraint? The main difference between the path constraint and curve constraint is the path constraint measures the length of the curve in range [0…100] while the curve constraint works in range [0…1]. There is another difference, but I don’t remember it off the top of my head.
You may want to try making your own path constraint in ICE.
