Maybe Shader Tree would have described it better. Because we actually do shading in it, not rendering. On the other hand, any "tree" implies something growing upward. Well, the trees in Softimage go sidewards. Except the FX Tree, that thing goes downwards but it looks like a tree at least :) So "Shader Graph" seems even more suitable to me than Shader Tree.
