I am doing everything as a user with administrative privileges.
I have no problem accessing the server via the windows file explorer or
Softimage
But when I linked the workgroup under softimage"preference" "data
management"
the BA shaders plugin doesn't get installed in win 8.1
Not sure if that is giving me the "unspecified error" or it is a
separate issue.
Maybe I will tried to install the BA shaders manually.
The machines render fine in Royal Render just not through the Soft
interface.

what happened to me couple times is if you have setup network paths
and access details as user and run SI as administrator it doesn't see
any network stuff.
A bit had to explain but...
For example I had access to storage as mirkoj user
But if I run SI as administrator it cannot access storage with
workgroup, projects etc.
Maybe has something to do with that?

Redshift renders fine.
Anyone else have this problem in win 8.1?
