I can't say I find it crippled to be honest, and these days I find it pretty hard to work on WIndows :) CentOS isn't, admittedly, the most complete or attractive desktop system, but still... at least you have a decent windows manager, configurability, performance (considerable difference), better networking, multiple desktops... I can't wait for win 10, 8 and 7 are bloody prehistoric. Lack of photoshop is really the only drawback these days, of you need it.
