heh Softimage man Softimage... nothing will replace it fully in years to come so instead of wasting time do some real work ;)
Totally agree with it ! I spent 3 month to mimic my XSI config & tools in Maya. To do so i should learn Python, MEL, QT, C++ etc. To make exact the same in Modo i should learn only Python but in most cases all "interaction" configuration are available through GUI. Thats one of the benefits of Modo: it can be used from a box with minimal amount of additional scripts. This pic speaks for its self: http://i.imgur.com/pqJLAdB.jpg But still Modo 901 release was so buggy. It also have to bulky "center" system, didn't have "Local" and "Move independent in local" system, selection problems, bad taut realisation, and so on. On other hand it have great retopology tool, projection, shrink&wrap etc. But only XSI have this awesome bevel. So the best modeling stack still in XSI in most cases becase it have best native modelling basis. It have greate selection realisation, it have greate CENTER logic realisation, independent component movement, greate LOCAL logic, pick reference (that wasn't in maya until 2015 SP2 release and still didn't work well in Modo), bevel, power extrude, etc. And i hope we soon would have great retopology tool by Angel07 or some other realisation build with Fabric.
