btw. this is a very interesting vid about the IKEA workflow, regarding model
libraries and a lot more:

I'm nowhere near that and I don't need to! What they came up with 3dsmax is
indeed impressive. And their workflow is insane (drag models in a scene,
automatically placed with coll detection and some kind of automated
parenting/linking of objects depending on where they are dropped in a scene.
And yeah, real time dynamics to give natural chaos to the scene).
I'm sure this could be done with XSI too, giving the proper human ressources
and a different reality where ADSK didn't kill XSI.

However, fisrt step for me is adjusting a frikking thumbnail size. :) Nice
weekend all.

The thing with custom toolbars is, that they would need to be changed every
time I add models to the library, change or relocate them (e.g. to a
subfolder).

The current workflow is that I create models, region-render them in a dedicated
scene so I have the exact same look and save them. Using the XSI browser, I
have folder structures with a graphical representation of each model that I can
drag in any scene. Easy and just perfect, except that the icons are kinda small.

Of course I could use some kind of external software to catalogue the models
and drag them into XSI, but I'd like to keep it inside XSI for now.

tagging along. Interested as well. I think you would have to make your own
"buttons" or html gui (python, jscript) with bigger pictures as an alternatove
from a custom toolbar. all it comes to mind at the moment.

Hi list,

I wonder if there is a way to adjust the thumbnail size saved with a model. I'm
currently creating a model library and would be nice to have the icons a lot
bigger, when using the XSI browser. Like the size used for texture icons for
example.

Thanks,

Sven
