The other day I received my new Mouser catalog and was browsing through it, I decided to look through the Motorola section and saw the H8 family was inexpensive. How similar to the original 6800 concept are they? I never did much 6800 programming but I did quite a bit of 6809 programming and I loved it, what a beautiful CPU to program in assembler. I also did quite a bit with the 68K family in both C and assembler The reason I looked was I recently acquired some H11 family boards to test some software that I want to migrate from the H11 family to the ATMEGA family and it got me curious about what Motorola is up to with the small CPU's.
