Hi Dov, I just put up the encoder schematic which I will now have to
rebuild :-) The keyboard has been removed. I added a couple of buttons
for possible future use. Truth be known, I am whacked by this :-) I
found out the MC9S08SH8 5 volt chips require the $99 Multilink to
program them. Well I have a donated Multilink but that doesn't help
everyone else. So we need to stay with the QG8 which is a fine chip
albeit 3.3 volts. As long as you build the 74C906 interface you will be
fine. Jean-Michel modified the keyboard circuit because it, too, puts 5
volts back on to the QG8. So I will get you through your build and then
we will see what happens :-) I guess I'm whacked because I destroyed my
proto with the simplification and need to rebuild it :-) Although my SH8
proto works fine. Sorry for all the confusion :-)
