Lead Software Test Engineer PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Functions: 1. Executing QA tasks in a technical leadership role-- analyze transactional data and analytical data and compare business rules to discover holes and troubleshoot data integrity, and also dig deeply into report integrity problems. In-depth analysis of use cases, examination of feature and bug fix design and implementation, and corresponding creation, maintenance, execution. Root Cause Analysis. 2. Test planning of own projects and guiding test coverage along with review & approval of other projects in group queue. Reviewing of test plans/cases, providing test estimates, scheduling, distributing and tracking work assignments for the assigned QA projects 3. Admin & resource management, status communication. 4. Support, helping, training, coaching, and mentoring of QA on team. QUANTITATIVE MEASURES: Include information here regarding how the position will be measured (i.e. sales quota, call volume, etc.) ? Drive the high quality of products, measured by different quality metrics, including effectiveness, functionality, bug escape rate ? Drive the excellence of a team of 5-7 QA staff ? Develop and estimate complete and accurate QA project plans Education, Certification, and/or Training: Minimum: BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience with databases. Minimum Experience: • 2 years of experience as a QA team lead. • 3 years of software quality assurance or database development experience. • 2 consecutive years of experience with relational databases. • Experience with stored procedures or equivalent. Preferred Experience: • 1 year of Report testing or data validation experience. • 2 years experience with Data Warehouse. • 2 year in QA of back-end systems or business analysis.
