Convenient location is across from the metro. Salary to $105K for fully qualified person. REQUIREMENTS: . Experience in providing networking support in a LAN/WAN Cisco networking environment. . Familiarity with how to configure a VoIP environment, specifically Cisco's AVVID implementation (e.g. CallManager, Unity, etc.). . Flexibility to work additional hours as necessary, including weekends and holidays. . A two-year college degree or equivalent experience preferred. . CCNP certification preferred, as well as experience with VPN, QoS, SNMP, IP routing (e.g. BGP, EIGRP), switching and TCP/IP concepts in general. . Experience with CA Unicenter is a plus. . U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder only; NO THIRD PARTIES PLEASE SUMMARY: The Network Engineer is responsible for providing support in the engineering of voice and data communications solutions for implementation in the firm's networks, leading network projects by recommending solutions to network strategy and security issues and providing network-engineering solutions/options for the organization. Additional responsibilities include: Developing detailed network specifications and adhering to standards in support of new project scope work; developing and recommending strategies for network growth, security, and enhancements by maximizing functionality of network equipment such as routers, firewalls, gateways, switches, concentrators, and hubs; interfacing with vendors and suppliers to ensure adequate delivery and maintenance of equipment and services; performing network analysis and capacity planning and testing for organization's LAN/WAN environment; assisting in the creation of processes and procedures for network operations; maintaining a library of associated materials for all equipment, processes, and procedures; designing, installing, and testing network topologies to support Internet and other data transport channels; designing, installing and troubleshooting IP based LANs/WANs and IP- based routing and switching solutions; providing end-user support evenings and weekends through the on-call program, alternating with other client engineering staff and the training staff members; and other duties as assigned.
