Sr. QA Analyst/Software * BS degree or equivalent experience * 5+ years experience in Software Quality Assurance role * 2+ years experience with HP Quality Center including QTP * 2+ years experience testing web services * 2+ years experience testing applications that use IBM DB2 or Oracle Skills * Experience with MQ Series preferred * Clinical background is a plus * Previous programming experience is a plus * Demonstrated testing skills and experience including all facets of the Software Lifecycle. * Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with aggressive schedules * Strong interpersonal skills – networking, building relationships, teamwork * Self-motivated, work well in a team structure or independently and have a professional work ethic * Creative problem solver who is extremely well organized and accustomed to maintaining meticulous records * Knowledge of Quality Assurance practices & testing methodologies (including automated test processes) * Test Web Application software written in a variety of different technologies including Java and .Net. * Test Web Services directly against the service itself. * Test and understand applications that utilize IBM’s MQ Series platform * Ability to perform certain white- box tests when UI isn’t readily available. * Create and maintain test plans, test cases and test summaries. * Execute manual and automated test cases/scripts * Manage test data - perform data analysis; define, maintain and organize input and output data; develop/maintain quality repositories to establish and assure quality data integrity. Database platforms include IBM DB2, Oracle and Sybase * Communicate QA risks, milestones, and status to the QA lead or Project Manager. * Review/ verify functional and system requirements and ensure project deliverables pass a stringent set of QA criteria and comply with the requirements prior to deployment. * Provide work/effort estimates for all testing activities. * Assist in the setup and maintenance of QA test environment and tools. * Collect and report on quality statistics/ metrics. Record and monitor through resolution all discovered defects/ QA-related issues. * Maintain a relationship with all project stakeholders. Participate in all quality related discussions during the course of the project. * Promote continuous improvement. * Improve test cycle duration through the use of testing tools. * Demonstrate accountability in all assignments. * Availability after hours as needed for emergency situations.
