Lloyd -- I don't remember a prior conversation about this, but you certainly raise some valid issues...
I think there is already an oil-pressure sensor and light on our SOHC bikes. Rather than insert another connection and oddly mounted gauge into the oil system, has anyone investigated replacing the 'on/off' oil pressure sensor with a transducer that reads pressure and converts it to electrical impulse which could be wired to a true gauge and/or light? I suspect the cost of this might be higher than the simple gauge hookups, but it would preserve the integrity of the OEM setup while providing more information at the instrument panel. Perhaps I'll have a look around VDO or someone similar's website, see if this is even possible... -- Jim Brokaw DoD #1415 SOHC/4 #40 AMA #716223 Santa Clara, CA _________________________________________________________ 1978 CB550K - First Bike 1978 CB750K - Big Brother 1980 CB750F - Money Pit 1994 VFR750F - Fast Bike _________________________________________________________ on 9/9/03 10:26 AM, Lloyd Oliver at [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Help me out here please listers. > > Am I the only who remembers a previous disscussion about putting oil > guages on SOHC4s?
