My project is moving along nicely. Cleaned the whole bike, got the front
brake setup in working order, cleaned the carbs, replaced the battery. I
changed the oil and filter, cranked it with no plugs and got oil pressure.
Not bad after 19 years of sitting in a garage.

I re-mounted the carbs to see if it will run. It kinda started but was only
firing on one cylinder, three cold headers. No spark on 1 and 4 and dry on
3. Cleaned the plugs, points and adjusted the points. I got all four to
fire after some priming, but here is where I am at.

It will only run with full choke and even then 1 and 3 (cooler) are not
running at the same temp as 2 and 4 (hotter). It will not idle at all.
Opening the choke causes rpms to drop and additional throttle does not help.
Temps tested with the wet finger on the header test. So, I think it is safe
to assume that the points and coil are OK considering that the two cylinders
that are hotter are each on a separate coil and all 4 are warm. I did not
use re-build kits on the carbs, just a good cleaning. My thoughts to are
rebuild all four since all are lean (full choke) and 2 are very lean. Lean
means more heat right? Am I one the right track? Any other thoughts?

Also, I am ready to buy tires to replace the dry rotted ones. JCWhitney
seems to have a nice selection. I am having trouble sizing though. My
front show ML90-19 (goodyear) and rear is 4.50 H 17A 4PR. On the rear I can
get close based on their sizes. Anyone run a more standard rear?

On the front, what does the ML90 convert to in standard size. I search for
some conversion and they all reference 90 series but two or three aspect
ratios. IE: 90x90x19, 90x100.19. Anyone know what the ML90 might be? It
looks like they used the first two letter to designate the aspect at some
point in time.
