AFAIK, Honda cast 'SOHC' and 'DOHC' into the valve covers, they didn't contract Over-Head into one word.
If the head has two distinct bulges (let the jokes begin!), it's a DOHC. If one bulge, it's SOHC. DOHC 750 engines had the oil in the engine, not a separate tank. Is the tank behind that sidecover? Is it attached to the engine? I guess it could be a DOHC engine shoehorned into an SOHC frame? Cheers, Carlos
