Maybe that's because it's 4 in 1? I know for a fact that my 836 with the 4 into 4 isn't that loud at all. I ride regularly on the Seacoast here in NH, and they have sound traps set up for the Harley's and other "loud" bikes. My bike is louder than normal, definitely, but it's NOTHING compared to the others. I drive by the traps and they don't even give me a second look, so I must be within what they consider "legal" operating sound. FYI the pipes are MAC slash-cut short pipes.
