you got that right, it did make it worse, for me, but i broke 
it down eventually... my girlfriend was actually asleep with 
her helmet clipped on the sissy bar across Nevada though, crazy 
broads, i never new what that little clip on the back of old 
helmets was for before then...

Nay, what you need is a bike that is made for someone taller 
than 6'.  And the a king/queen seat actually makes it
worse since you can't move around to change position and relieve 
muscle tension and stress.  

~The 550 is not a long distant touring bike, more of a run-around-town 
bike.  I've ridden my 750F from Md to the Smoky
Mtns once and I had to stop at about every 1.5 hours just to 
get the feeling back into my butt - and refuel.  Now I've
got a '72 Moto Guzzi Eldorado  for all my long distant riding 
- even two up is ok; my wife and I went out to Taos, NM a
few years back and lived to tell the tale.
