you got that right, it did make it worse, for me, but i broke it down eventually... my girlfriend was actually asleep with her helmet clipped on the sissy bar across Nevada though, crazy broads, i never new what that little clip on the back of old helmets was for before then... jason #110
= = = Original message = = = Nay, what you need is a bike that is made for someone taller than 6'. And the a king/queen seat actually makes it worse since you can't move around to change position and relieve muscle tension and stress. ~The 550 is not a long distant touring bike, more of a run-around-town bike. I've ridden my 750F from Md to the Smoky Mtns once and I had to stop at about every 1.5 hours just to get the feeling back into my butt - and refuel. Now I've got a '72 Moto Guzzi Eldorado for all my long distant riding - even two up is ok; my wife and I went out to Taos, NM a few years back and lived to tell the tale. ~Bruce [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > > thats a good guess, but the truth is that i had the cheap JC > Whitneys double bucket seat, and it worked just fine, what really > made the difference is a good industrial back brace... the first > 5 hour sortie to Columbus cost me about an hour flat on a hard > floor to stop the spasms... anyone over 6' tall needs a back > brace to ride that long... > jason > #110 > > = = = Original message = = = > > Jason, > ~Welcome back to the fold for I do remember you and your adventure. > My guess is that 7 weeks on the road really made an > impact on you and you never want to do it again.
