Hi Everybody,
I have problem in setting up the print server in
solaris2.5.the old
printserver was giving the error, printer filter:cant
reach print
server. I tried to check the old print server( sercom
printmate jr
+ ) for the problem,but I could not detect it in the
network.so I
tried to replace the print server by dlink DP-301p+, I
configured it
using PSAdmin software on windows, it was detected and
I configured
it using TCP/IP ( gave same IP and Name which was
given to the old
print server & Port no:lpt1
When I tried giving this command,
#lpadmin �p line �v /dev/null �o proto
col=bsd,dest=prin:lpt1 �m
netstandard �T unknown �I any
it gave error saying illegal vaues for option -o
I tried giving other option like
#lpadmin �p line �s prin!lpt1
#accept line
#enable line
the queue was created in the server.
In the lpstat �t output it shows
printer line faulted. enabled since Thu Mar 24
10:26:00 GMT 2005.
available.
#lp �d line dd.txt
when I connected the printer server to line printer
and gave the same
print command it takes the command but no printing
takes place.
I think that I have not configured the printserver
fully on the
server.
If anybody can help in this,I will be very thankfull.
how to configure the print server on solaris 2.5 using
jeeva cluster.
