This does not relate to daily processing but today is a new month. I found the following in adm's mail (note: I have not been checking adm's mail, I guess I need to start doing that.) Subject: Output from "cron" command Content-Type: text Content-Length: 133 Your "cron" job on honeydew /usr/lib/acct/monacct produced the following output: acctmerg: read error file 0. File may be empty.
I guessing that the acctmerg is empty because runacct is not running. Thanks for the ideas, Glen Gunselman >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 9/1/2005 10:14:00 AM >>> Here's the output of crontab -l adm. I believe it matches the instructions on page 287 of the manual. #ident "@(#)adm 1.5 92/07/14 SMI" /* SVr4.0 1.2 */ # # The adm crontab file should contain startup of performance collection if # the profiling and performance feature has been installed. # 0 * * * * /usr/lib/acct/ckpacct 10000 30 2 * * * /usr/lib/acct/runacct 2> /var/adm/acct/nite/fd2log 30 7 1 * * /usr/lib/acct/monacct Thanks for the ideas, Glen Gunselman _______________________________________________ Solaris-Users mailing list [email protected] http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/solaris-users _______________________________________________ Solaris-Users mailing list [email protected] http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/solaris-users
