Great, thanks Darren. I went through half the steps yesterday and cancelled when it looked like it wanted me to replace the drive. I just couldn't find any reference to what came after. The drive is on it's way, so I'll try again tomorrow.

I have an A1000 connected to an E-250 that has a failed disk in it - part of a 3 disk raid 5 set. A new one is on the way. Looking in the book for Raid Manager, I see there isn't too much information on what to do.

Once I have the new disk in, does raid manager take care of any formatting and data transfer etc necessary to get the disk back online and into the raid?

Technically, no. All Raid manager does is report the status of the
array to you.

After the LUNs have been configured, the formatting/data
transfer/etc. are all handled internally by the array itself.

You should be able to click on the repair tool in rm6 and it will lead
you through the steps of pulling out the old disk and replacing it with
the new one. Don't do that until you have the new disk.
