hello all,

i have updated the "blueprints" section of the online library with the latest blueprints from Sun. you can find them here:
http://www.filibeto.org/sun/lib/index.html

(you have to scroll some - newest are at the bottom)

here are some of the new titles:

. Remote Monitoring of Sun x64 Systems using ipmitool and ipmievd

. The Tokyo Institute of Technology Supercomputer Grid: Architecture and Performance Overview

. Sun Grid Rack System for HPC: Reference Configurations with Sun Fire X2200 M2 and X2100 M2 Servers

. Beginners Guide to LDoms: Understanding and Deploying Logical Domains

There is an early access download for LDoms at:
http://www.sun.com/download/products.xml?id=45b14cf9

"The Logical Domains (LDoms) software is Sun's new server virtualization and partitioning technology. LDoms software leverages sun4v architecture and a hypervisor to subdivide supported platforms' resources (CPUs, memory, I/O, and storage) by creating partitions called logical or virtual domains. Each logical domain can run an independent operating system. Specialized service and control domains allow the management of these resources using the Logical Domains Manager. The LDoms capability complements Solaris Containers by providing application level separation and and brings partitioning capability to entry level servers, previously only available with Dynamic System Domains (DSD) on our midrange and high-end systems."

greetings,

Stoyan
