If you are running tcsh, the ! or !! command will repeat the last
command.  In ksh, if you have set -o vi in your profile, you can do ^K
and then use vi commands to move through your history. In bash, you
should be able to just use up arrow to show your last command. If you
can't by default, I know there is a profile setting that allows it,
though you will have to look it up.

With special thanks for your reply , I tried for "$bash" and it got
through . Please do me favor and let me know what is the equivalent for
Linux top command (that monitors the cpu load in real time) under the
Solaris OS ?
Please be informed that I found the "uptime" command but it is not
responding like as the top command does .
