Hi all,
We are operating 13 x4500 and started to play with non-Sun blessed SSDs in
there. As we were running Solaris 10u5 before and wanted to use them as log
devices we upgraded to the latest and greatest 10u8 and changed the zpool
layout[1]. However, on the first machine we found many, many problems with
various disks "failing" in different vdevs.

hi Carsten,
i saw you posted the same question to the zfs-discuss mailing list,
indeed that is the best place to ask as there are a lot of sun engineers
reading it.
i have no direct answer, nor i am aware of any serious issue with U8's
zfs. if you are willing to experiment you may go on and install the
latest SXCE build (that was snv_130) and see how the machine is behaving.
other than that you may try to upgrade one of the machines to U8 without
changing the hardware components, install latest patches from sunsolve
and if the issue appears again you may open a support call with sun.
greetings,
Stoyan
