This is fantastic, thank you! Yes, the syllables are correct. This should be rolled into the next version of GNU Solfege; I think it will be very helpful for other students. (I didn't realize that random_transpose could be used that way; I thought I was going to have to make up text files for every key by hand.) At this point, I think Issue 18 should be split into four bugs, one for each numbered item in its description. With the two lesson files you just sent me, I think Part 1 is finished. The other parts will require actual Python coding, (which I can't really help with, sorry) but I also think that they're much less important. (I think Part 4 is probably the next highest priority.) One thing I'd observe is that I find it pretty disorienting to randomly switch keys on every exercise. In practice, I've restricted the "random" transposition to a particular key in which I'd like to study e.g. "random_transpose = accidentals, -3, -3" and run for a while, then changed to "random_transpose = accidentals, -4, -4" and run that for a while, and so on. -Dan ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace.
