Comment #7 on issue 197 by schivmeister: MIDI module not built and locale
error
http://code.google.com/p/solfege/issues/detail?id=197
1. Yeah that would be good but unfortunately I'm not in a position to do
that (travelling and business; unstable internet connectivity).
2. Anyway, attached now are the Makefile differences between 3.16.4 and
3.17.0; there seems to be no significant change at all and yet this happens.
3. Surprisingly, no-one else appears to have reported/whined about this
issue. In that case, I suspect a distro-specific or version-specific
package/dependency problem.
4. One other question, what is the Linux source used for here?
CFLAGS:=$(CFLAGS) -I/usr/src/linux/include -Wall -pedantic -fPIC
I'm guessing OSS. What if I were to remove that include?
5. Could there be a way I could manually build this midi module? I've tried
a number of times by adjusting the subdir Makefiles (basically just the
paths) but I end up in a recursive loop at the end (I always come back to
toplevel).
