I'm not answering definitively here, just tossing in my 2 cents to what it
would seem like to me.

I always looked at it logically, which might be my mistake. <G>

I had thought of it in terms of MS's "per seat" and "per server".

You've purchased a client license that I have guessed up to this point was
more along the lines of the "per seat" method. I only have a single
sonicwall, so as I said, I'm just guesstimating here. :) But it would seem
logical to me that the client software license is just that - covers the
client for it's connections.

I'd be curious to hear the official answer as well, though - I have a friend
who does some support for a couple clients with sonicwalls, and he has me
back him up when he goes on vacation and such... So this question might be
part of my future concerns.

John

If I have one client license on my lap top, can I connect to any number
of Sonicwalls, or does each Sonicwall I connect to require a separate
license?

Example. We currently have one client with 3 SOHO3s and a PRO, and one
client with a SOHO3 and a third client with a TELE3. Can I use one
client on my laptop to connect to any of them, or do I need a client for
each box?

John,

it is pretty simple. does your soho3 already have the vpn upgrade? you
need it. you also need one client license and I think they are less
than
$50.

What is required to set up a VPN from a single client computer on the
Internet to a SOHO3?

Is the VPN client license needed?

Where is good documentation on this?

We have a client that wants to do this from home.
