Most configs the LAN side is private IP which means you would have to do a one-to-one NAT from public IP to private IP (which is what I do for the mail server running this list). On the other hand my www/ftp servers are on the DMZ. Either way you still can set up rules to allow only specific port traffic. Both get protected from DoS, sync flood etc. attacks. Chris
