I just went through the same scenerio with Ameritech, only their router is a Speedstream 5861, which we had to convert to bridge mode. We experienced the same internet browsing broblems as you (VPN worked fine). I opened an SR with Sonicwall. Eventually we got to the MTU setting, and when we changed it to 1404, Internet browsing worked great. However, the VPN would not work. So, I unchecked the "Fragment outbound packets larger than WAN MTU" and everything works. However, Sonicwall says I should leave this checked, then starting at MTU 1492, try reducing the MTU size by 8 at a time and test until both VPN and browsing works. I will eventually try that.
