Take a look at this :

AOL 6.0 has a bug where it reinstalls TCP if an intermediate driver (like DNE) is installed.  This resets your network configuration.  This isn't a significant problem if you have no static IP addresses.  However, if you do have static IP addresses or use a Virtual Adapter or L2TP tunnel, your IP address will be reset.  We recommend not using AOL 6.0 - use an earlier or later version. AOL 7.0 seems to work fine.

Goes nicely ith what i remember from Sonicwall's support : "Use AOL v.5.0 or earlier and it will work - maybe".

As far as i can read, they suplied the "Deterministic Network Enhancer" installed on your PC with the VPN Client.

Subject: [SonicWALL]- VPN Client and AOL

Hope everyone had a great Christmas, but now back to work for me.  I was hit with this one as I came in.  One of the managers here has a cable modem at his home and wants to use the Sonicwall client to get into work.  I set him up and got him in just fine.  But now he also wants to be able to use his AOL (yuck) and every time he tries to start it up he gets an error. ( the error is listed below)  If I uninstall the client and reinstall AOL it works fine but as soon as I install the client no more AOL.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
