Doesn't clear arp-cache clear ALL arp entries. I'm experimenting with putting a server 63.237.136.105 behind a SonicWall.
The sonic wall pro 200 is setup in standard mode with no NAT or DHCP When I put the box behind the firewall the arp address changes to that of the firewall( please confirm this as fact) It appears that only some people are able to make a connection to this box. My connection is from a cisco 3640 running BGP "clear arp-cache" was run over 2 hours ago. Yet I noticed that some but all people outside my network are able to connect. Please see below, traceroute from a server in New Haven, not it fails on one by Serial 0/1 (qwest). So the people that are able to connected are coming in on the second (UUnet) serial connection. But still unable to connect from Conversent. I removed the firewall and all is well. With more than double the connections.
