Changing the password on a group basis is for when using the group preconfigured VPN, as it is only one password for the whole group.
My fourth point was using pre-shared secret and IAS.

Why would you have to change the password, just use the pre-shared key and set up IAS... it's much nicer and you can add / remove users from your domain at will... this will come in extremely handy if they ever decide to upgrade to 50 / 100 VPN users...
