I have recently - 17th March - set up a subnet within our network.  The sonicwall is our firewall out to the internet, all other IP's are internal.

We run a 10.x.0.0/16 network.

The source machine 10.0.1.3 is a windows 2000 server running IIS.  The destination IP's are on a separate subnet and are Windows XP machines.

Since setting up the subnet my 2K server seems to be sending the occasional Ping of death to the client machines - does anyone have any idea why?  I know Ping of death is a fragmented packet that totals more than the 65534 size limit, but is there any legitimate type of traffic that could cause this symptom?

Looking forward to your ideas -
