As some might have noticed, I've been busy with setting up my vaio z21 with my PMD and run into a lot of problems. Turns out that my bios was misconfigured, making linux unable to correctly utilize the PMD. Now, with that out of the way, I can finally focus on fully setting up my PMD triple screen configuration. I mainly follow the tutorial from DoTheDog, which can be found over here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2055656 Before I install this new kernel I was wondering the following: do I still need to install a kernel version 3.6 or higher for this to work? Second: the fan on the PMD keeps running hot, which is kinda annoying and not so good for the device. Did anyone encountered the same problem and has found a solution for it? I was thinking of using Jupiter power management to control the power flow of the device but don't know if this is the problem at all. Thanks in advance for any tips and helping hands!
