Legacy means you have a MBR boot+partition configuration My Vaio came with windows7 pre-installed in Legacy mode. Since they *only* gave me the option to create an image of my installed and working windows system, and there is *no* driver-containing windows installer supplied with it, I chose to keep it all in legacy mode.
