02 October 2008.

ImageIn the following period the city of Nis will become a center of
investments in the area of infrastructure, construction of the Southern
Stream gas line and Corridor 10, for which the financial construction
has been closed, announced Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy
Mladjan Dinkic. He told the participants of the Nis Investment Forum
2008 that the city should get duty free zones, as well as that extra
stimulations from foreign investments have been planned for Nis. Dinkic
pointed that the goal of Serbia is to be the most convenient destination
for foreign investments and export, which should lead to lower foreign
trade deficit. Any new opened working place will be financed by the
state with 5,000 euros, emphasized Dinkic, adding that after Kragujevac,
Nis is practically the priority of the Government in the regional
development of Serbia. We are the only country in Europe with the
agreement on free trade with EU countries, Russia and regional states,
and we will soon have the negotiations on the same subject with the
Ukraine and Belarus, reminded Dinkic.
