BELEX15 plunges, loses 10.29 pct 7 October 2008 | 17:45 | Source: B92, Beta *BELGRADE -- The Belgrade Stock Exchange (BSE) closed today with its BELEX15 index dropping 10.29 percent, while BELEXline lost 6.73 percent.
* At the end of the day BELEX15 held at 804, but it went below 790 points during the trading on Tuesday. Yesterday, it reached its then historic low of 896 points, losing 8.09 percent of the value. BELEXline, meanwhile, closed at 1.679,02 – 120 percentage points less than yesterday. The day's overall turnover was no more than RSD 81.06mn, with foreign investors' participation at 35 percent. Continuous trading saw Galenika Fitofarmacija [FITO] losing the maximum 20 percent of its stock's value, followed by Informatika [INFM] and Globos [GLOS] who each dropped just under 20 percent. AIK Banka [AIKB] was not far behind, losing almost 19 percent of its shares' value. Only two companies listed in this segment of the stock market ended the day in positive territory: - Telefonija [TLFN] that went up 12.45 percent, and Energomontaža [EGMN] with a modest 0.01 percent increase. The prime market, or A Listing, saw losses, led by Energoprojekt [ENHL] down ten percent, sinking to a yearly low of RSD 754 per share. Sojaprotein [SJPT] also lost the maximum ten percent, so that its shares cost RSD 1,053 each – another twelve-month negative record.
