Well, if they don't work with the new kernel we need a bump.

Yup. old crash(8) and old vmstat(1) will not work with newer kernel (and the opposite is also true) due to changes in structure layouts.

I will bump the kernel shortly.

Does anyone else have something coming soon that would like to "ride the bump"?
