Hi, James. Are you using the GPL or the GLPL release of SJ? This sounds like a limitation of the GLPL release. The GPL has a better diff engine (that's only available as GPL, thus the two licenses). If you're using the GPL release, check your conf.xml file (both client and server) and see what diff algorithm you're using.
Basically, you should have the following line in there: <DiffAlgorithmClass>JLibDiff.GnuDiffAlgorithm</DiffAlgorithmClass> If you're using the GLPL release, then download the GPL release and check the DiffAlgorithmClass as well. Give it a try and let me know. --Rob --- James Saffery <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Rob, > > Here are the files in question. > > > tgrm_pk.body is the current archive version. > > > > The file named here tgrm_pk.body.20040508 is the file which SJ will not > check-in. > > Best regards, > > James > > > > James Saffery > Senior Analyst > Swisslog Australia Pty Limited > +61 2 9869 5929 > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: James Saffery [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Sent: Monday 10 May 2004 14:55 > > To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' > > Subject: Problem Checking-In a File, perhaps due to White Space > > Changes > > > > Hi Rob, Fellow SJ Users, > > > > I am experiencing a problem checking-in a plain test source file. > > > > The following error dialog is shown: > > > > > > > > Everything else in SJ is working fine; the problem is only seen when > > attempting to check in this one file. > > > > I have a theory as to why: there are significant white space changes as > > well as real code changes in the file.
