Education Ministry trains 103 sports officials Saturday, 17 December 2011 15:31 Sport >>> .Over one hundred teachers have been trained to manage basketball, volley ball, hand ball and athletics at Rombur Teachers Institute in Juba ahead of the East African Sports Championship next year.
Speaking to Radio Miraya on Friday, the President of Federation of East African Secondary Schools' Sports Association (FEASSSA) Justus Mangesho applauded the training, saying it is a good step following South Sudan's request to host the championship next year. "103 sports officials have been trained and have received certificates. We feel this is a big step in the development of sports in this country that has so much potential and also loves the games," said Mangesho. "As you all know, South Sudan is one of the three countries bidding to host the 11th edition of the FEASSSA games. We are happy that one of them is already done". The next FEASSSA games will take place next year in August. South Sudan's Bilpham Warriors recently won the East Africa Peace and Unity basket ball championship. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
