The higher education ministry in the Republic of the Sudan is offering
400 scholarships to South Sudanese students for the next four years.

The national minister for higher education Peter Adwok Nyaba told the
press that he signed a Memorandum of Understanding with his
counterpart in the Government of Sudan, Bakhita Radio reported.

Dr Adwok said Sudan offers 100 scholarships to South Sudanese students
every year for the next four years.

He added that the scholarships are for students who deserve them and
the attribution process will be transparent.

Dr Adwok said the MoU caters for the students from each country to
study wherever they choose to without problems.

He advised students from Arabic stream to return to the Sudanese
universities to conclude their studies instead of having problems with
lectures in English.

South Sudanese universities are undergoing multiple challenges since
they relocated from Khartoum following the independence of South
Sudan.
